Think its time to find a better cheaper Vet, this one is ripping you off,
Rabbits do not need to go to the Vet, ear mites just put some oil in there ears once in a while, feed them right, keep them in a good out door run, on the ground with space to run, and eat greens, and chew twigs, and enjoy

I have a pet insurance with VPI pet insurance they are out of Brea CA. YOu pay the vet and sent the claim form but get a percent of the money back. It has paid for my dog who is always getting into trouble. But like it earlier states your pet has to be healthy first.
Here is there # call them 888-899-4VPI

TO be honest, an insurance company will very rarely accept an animal who already has health problems. They will usually either refuse the insurance or they will accept the insurance but will make the existing illness exepmt from being claimable.

I am unsure of insurance company details for the US as I am UK based so can't help on that front.

Do you have maybe an animal charity nearby who would help with her treatment? Is it a terminal problem which will require lifelong care?

Yes, there are severl different places, but almost never do they take an animal that already has had problems. You could check with them though.

I'm not really sure how to find them, as its been awhile since I've had any pets, but if you go to www.americankennelclub.com they have insurence for dogs and you might be able to see if they know where to go for rabbits.

Another try would be your vets, they would probably know. Or if you don't want your vet to know for some reason or the other try www.fosterandsmith.com They are a couple vets that sell pet supplies and might know where to get it.

Sorry I couldn't help you more...good luck!
