mine is $16 per month. any pre-existing conditions have a time limit on them. it just depends on the health of the dog, whether it's fixed, etc. go to www.petcareinsurance.com

Go on line for Pet Insurance. There are usually 3 different plans. You can, of course, pick up this information at your veterinarians, they have the pamphlets. Better $100. a year that a $1,300. vet bill.

I always carried pet insurance on my dogs and cats. Needed it and used it.

It depends on what you want covered. It can be around $11/month for basic coverage with VPI all the way up to $60 a month with banfields most exnpensive plan!!

I have pet insurance thru Banfield, the vet clinic inside Petsmart. You can only use Banfield but its a great deal. It's $16 per month for the lowest plan (which is all you would need for a young dog). Vet visits are free, all their shots are included, two compreshensive exams per year are included, and you recieve a 20% off discount anything not covered on the wellness plan. Dont sign up in the vet office...sign up over the phone and their is no sign up fee!

It's not cheap, but it also depends on the breed (which you have established) and your city and state. Here are some web sites that can help you out:
