Default Does anyone have "Johnsons Insurance" and know the policy for breed of dogs?

i was just informed that some insurance companys will cancell if you have certain breeds....what the hell. I have a boxer and am trying to adopt a pitt mix. When i signed up they never even asked me about animals. So im thinking it doesnt apply with them. I guess i could call but just thought id ask around first. Thanks

Most insurance companies will cancel you if you GET a certain breed, and not write you if you HAVE a certain breed. They pretty much ALL have a "prohibited dog" list. Or rather, I don't know of any who don't.

Johnson's Insurance is an AGENCY, not a company - they'll have your insurance with a COMPANY, who, if they find out about a pitt mix dog, will likely cancel you for "increase in hazard".

Boxers aren't usually a prohibited breed.

Foremost Insurance will write a homeowners (at a high price, though) WITH a dog exclusion on it - so that there isn't any coverage if your dog bites.
