My Diner's Club card subosedly provides rental coverage but i am concerned that it won't be sufficient. There are three types of insurances that the rental car companies offer:

Since I don't have a car I don't have personal car insurance

actually i never got the rental insurance, but if you get into an accident frequently i recommend getting it. or if you know you are going to let someone else drive it that isn't on the paperwork, then get it to. but insurances do not cover the rental ins. most insurances only cover 15 to 25 bucks a day ne way and you get a mid sized car. and those are pretty safe. so really its a judgement call. personally if you are a pretty good driver, i wouldnt get it. in most states liability is sufficent enough. plus... the rental car people have insurance on their cars. they just make extra cash off of you with extra ins. its only for you to pay for damage insted of them paying for it.
