Default I had a flood in my apartment, and had renters insurance, but not quite sure how...

...much replacement value.? My apt was flooded on a friday, when I was working and they didn't catch it for 4 hours because everyone was working then my neighbor noticed it and called the maintance people. Everything that was sitting on the floor got water damaged, and I have to fill out forms regarding what was damaged, and we took photos and all of the stuff. I am just not sure how to fill out the value of property that I have, as far as the replacement cost, how much was paid, etc. any help?

Well, do the "how much was paid" based on what you remember, or hit amazon.com to get estimates on replacements.

You need to know how much it would cost you to buy that stuff new again. Look on Amazon.com or whatever (depending on what you lost to the water) to get replacement costs.

This is one of the biggest pains in the a#& when it comes to insurance. Sorry about your luck, but it will take you some time to get this form filled out, especially if you had a lot of stuff damaged. The best advise I can give you is to take your time and fill it out the best you can. (The internet has really helped make this task easier.) The better you fill out the form, the better your settlement will be.
