Default Is there a way to get around a landlord not allowing german shepherds due to...

...their 'renters insurance'? Our landlord is telling us that due to her renters insurance, we can not have a german shepherd. Can we get 'owners liability insurance' to cover that?
It seems that is a bit discriminating...
