Default How much are you paying for renters insurance?

my apt just got broken into. what a wake up call to get renters ins. it was the kid down the hall from us who was supposedly our friend... guess not. too bad so sad now he is back in jail LOL! the only thing he stole was our tylonol 3. yeah what a hard core drug LOL!
now i would just feel more comfortable with renters ins just incase... we are moving once our house is done so thank goodness! but untill then who would be the best people to go through? i live in PA... the poconos. and whats a reasonable limit? i was going for 100,000. am i nuts? should i just go with 75? and whats a good year rate?
opinions please!

Very inexepensive, it's like 12 dollars a month for more coverage than a normal person should ever need. Plus it can also be used if like your wallet gets stolen etc.

I have $100,000 coverage on the house I rent.. and I pay $12 a month through Geico ( I also have their insurance on my cars, so they usually give you a nice deal on the renters stuff).

I got broken into a year ago at an apartment, and lost tons of stuff... but stupid me, didn't have the renters coverage at that time.

I would go with 100,000. Try Farmers Insurance. If you get car insurance through them you can get renters for as little as $13 a month. It is absolutely worth it. If you get liability insurance with the renters it covers just about anything. If you were to go on vacation like skiing and ran into someone and they sued you the renters insurance would cover it. It is pretty amazing what they cover. Check into it...its worth it.
