I just joined this forum so that I could share what I consider to be an extremely inappropriate phone solicitation I received today at work. It was a recorded message that went about like this:

Hello, this is New York Life Insurance. So, you made it to work today. But what if you don't make it home tonight? .......

Does anybody else out there find this offensive and annoying, if not paranoia provoking? Please reply - I need to know if I'm over-reacting.
