If they won't go along with your request, ask if you can have your doctor do the blood work, and pay for it yourself. If they don't go along with your request, maybe they aren't the type of life insurance company you want to stay with.

2. You could get quotes for life insurance from other insurance agents, or compare free life insurance quotes online, and see if you can get a better deal through another life insurance company. Make sure you get another policy in effect before you cancel any existing life insurance policy.

Don't give up. Maybe they should have mentioned that you fast for 12 hours before the bloodwork, but that is over now. Focus on what your existing options are, and find a way to get the best deal, given your health.
