I was driving a friend's car with their permission. Caught by a radar trap doing 40 in 30mph zone and issued with a fixed penalty notice. Next day I handed in my driving licence at police station however being neither insured myself nor, on checking, under my friend's policy to drive the vehicle I couldn't produce a valid certificate of insurance. I also already have 3 points for speeding (by camera doing 40 in 30mph zone) a couple of years ago.
When I receive the summons (assuming one is issued) I intend to plead guilty by post. My question is what happens next?
